About Me

My Sustainability Mission

Since I was quite young I have been interested in sustainability. I majored in Environmental Studies and minored in Economics in college and later obtained a master’s degree in Biology. For many years afterwards I told people about little things they could do to protect the earth.  Then about a decade ago my dad suggested I start a blog.  Now I am taking him up on it.

I believe that changes-big and small are necessary to save our beautiful planet.  Big changes at the industrial and political level, and small changes in individual households will yield a sustainable future. I have divided my posts into three categories: climate change, home and yard.  Climate change posts discuss the big picture and ways to make the world sustianable for future generations.  Home and yard posts discuss  economical ways both households and businesses can make small sustainable choices.
